Here’s an example of an embedded learning in numeracy lesson plan designed for a primary school classroom:

Subject: Mathematics (Numeracy)
Embedded Learning Focus: Measurement and Data

Lesson Objective: Students will develop their understanding of measurement and data concepts through real-life applications and hands-on activities.

Lesson Plan:

1.Introduction (10 minutes)

  • Engage students by asking them about their favourite activities or hobbies outside of school that involve measurement.
  • Discuss the importance of measurement in everyday life and how it helps us make sense of the world around us.

2. Measurement Scavenger Hunt (20 minutes)

  • Divide students into small groups and provide each group with a list of items or objects they need to measure.
